Work
related injuries
Back
pain will affect four out of five people in Britain
today, and results in 120 million days off work per
year. Employers are now losing up to £335 million
a year, but the biggest losers are the millions of
people who have their lives ruined by this condition.
Back
pain is one of the most common causes of work related
injuries. The most common causes of working injuries
are sprains and strains of the back or repetitive
strain injuries caused by very simple daily activities
such as sitting at a desk or lifting.
Physical
jobs involving a lot of lifting, bending and twisting
of the spine usually strain the mid to lower back
more, whereas jobs involving long periods of sitting
including driving tend to strain the upper back and
neck more. However no matter what your job any part
of the spine can be affected!
Chiropractic
care not only addresses the pain caused by work conditions
but also rehabilitates the areas of the spine which
have been effected, it analysis work ergonomics such
as how to sit correctly at your desk, how to lift
correctly and most importantly how chiropractic care
can help keep you out of pain!
